Recently, the new version of GB 7258-2017 “Technical Conditions for the Operation of Motor Vehicles Safety” was issued jointly by the AQSIQ and the National Standardization Administration Committee, and implemented on January 1, 2018. All technical contents of the standard are mandatory. Compared to the 2012 edition, the new standard adjustments and amendments exceed 150 items. Drafted according to the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. The standard applies to all motor vehicles that drive on our country’s roads, including traditional passenger cars, pure electric vehicles, passenger cars, school buses, trucks and motor homes, but does not include trams and wheeled special-purpose vehicles. Among all the standards, the most noticeable concern is that the vehicle must be equipped with a reflective vest and the electric windows must be equipped with an anti-clamping function so that it is not possible to hang the factory mark that does not comply with the vehicle brand.
